My name is Natasha Kuznetsova. I was born November 23rd, 1990. From the very beginning my life was very hard. My mother was an alcoholic with twelve children. She didn’t feed us much, and often she beat us and left us outside. A lot of the time we were living on the street. When I was in 4th grade, my mother died. My sister died the same year. Today I only have one living brother.
My father is still alive, and also an alcoholic. He now lives alone in our flat, and won’t even allow me or my brother to enter. After my mother died, I was taken to live at the Kostino orphanage. After graduating from the orphanage I spent a year living in a hostel, which was very difficult for me.
I had some friends who told me about the Transition Home. They told me it was difficult to live there because they had a lot of rules and kept strict discipline. However, I decided to try it anyway. Today I am so grateful to God for the opportunity to live in the Transition Home! I have also learned that it is so good to be with God, who is our best Friend and Teacher.
