SOAR Internship

A step forward in answering the call of God on your life!

Internship Objective Statement: To equip and disciple interns with practical experience and teaching to pursue the call of God on their life.

The SOAR internship is a flexible 3 to 12 month experience designed to enrich the applicant’s life through Biblical education, outreach preparation, and practical missions training. As a support based position, each intern will receive practical fundraising training and support. An outreach is planned for each internship for a true taste of overseas missions.

One-on-one discipleship is a crucial aspect of each internship as we engage with God’s transformational work in the intern’s life. This allows for an adaptive internship as we endeavor to adjust the experience according to the individual’s experience, training, and gifting.

We will endeavor to have interns work in their area of gifting so that they can get practical experience while also benefiting SOAR. However, as a smaller team at the moment, we all fulfill multiple roles and contribute wherever needed. This allows for the intern to gain experience in their preferred field of work while also developing a broad understanding of missionary work.

Often times we finish a degree or program and don’t know exactly where God would have us go and often times the training stage is not over. We want our internship program to help bridge you into your calling. We want you to feel and experience what it’s like to work in a missions focused ministry. This will involve working in the office in Alaska and a planned outreach to Russia, Abkhazia, or Moldova. At the end of the internship we want you to feel confident in your calling and know more about how God has made you.

We are willing to work with University requirements. If you have any questions or are interested in SOAR’s internship, please feel free to contact us at (907) 283-1961 or by email at info@soarinternational.org.
